Vacillations 1
Is there a particular moment in your life when you saw something, I mean, see it as in Kierkegaard's sense, the beauty and grace endowed by that particular scene, and you felt the urge to share that moment with a loved one, but did not have a camera around to capture it, or even if you did, it failed to capture its essence, and the only proof of you having that experience is in your memory? It is in moments like this that you wish you had just the right words to paint the picture so vivid that your listener can have an experience approximating to yours. Most times, when in these situations, we resolve to cheap cliches or ordinary overused phrases like "good" and "okay", and they kill the beauty. Maybe this is why I write. I don't write to preserve these moments. No, I do it to deepen my lexicon and have immediate access to the words that accurately represent my thoughts and feelings.
